Terms of service
Last updated October 28, 2026
These terms cover your use of AnswerChime, a website assistant for businesses. By creating an account you agree to them.
Your account
You need a verified email and, where offered, a verified mobile number. Keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the people you invite to your team.
What the assistant says
Your assistant answers from the information on your website and what you give it. It is built to say "I don't know" rather than guess, but it can still be wrong. Check its answers in your dashboard and correct anything that is off. You are responsible for the accuracy of the business information you provide.
Your customers
You must have the right to contact the people who leave their details with your assistant, and you must follow the laws that apply to how you contact them, including texting rules. AnswerChime only texts a customer after they ask for it.
Plans and payment
New accounts start with $1 of free usage and no card. Paid plans renew monthly or yearly until cancelled. Each plan has a monthly allowance; extra usage needs a prepaid top-up. A first yearly payment can be refunded within 14 days; other payments are not refunded. When you cancel, your account stays read-only for 30 days so you can export your data, then it is deleted.
Acceptable use
Do not use AnswerChime for anything illegal, to send spam, to collect sensitive data such as health or payment card details through the chat, or to try to break or overload the service.
Availability and liability
We work to keep AnswerChime running but cannot promise it will never be down or never make a mistake. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
