Business owners and their teams

We keep your name, email, mobile number, the business details you or your website provide, and how you use the dashboard. We use them to run your assistant, send you alerts, bill you and keep the service secure. Payments are handled by our payment processor; we do not store card numbers.

People who chat with an assistant

When you chat with an assistant on a business's website, we process your messages and any contact details you choose to give, on behalf of that business. The business sees them so it can reply to you. We use AI models to write replies; your messages are not used to train those models. See the notice linked in the chat for the business you talked to.

Sharing

We share data only with the business you contacted, with service providers that help us run AnswerChime (hosting, email, text messages, payments, AI models) under contracts that limit their use of it, and when the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.

Retention

We keep data while the business uses AnswerChime. When a business leaves, its data is deleted 30 days after cancellation. Usage records are kept up to 400 days.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. Contact us for any privacy request.
